A member of the the 13-member Kwesi Botchwey Committee has said that the report being serialised by a section of the media is fake.
The committee was tasked to probe the abysmal performance of the NDC in the 2016 elections and prescribe appropriate remedies where necessary.
According to the Member of Parliament for Bodi, Honourable Samson Ahi, the report in the media is a fabrication with some credibility issues as its contents are different from the actual work the committee did.
He added that at no point were names mentioned in the committee’s report so he is surprised that some names are being mentioned in the media as the orchestrators of the party’s defeat.
“I’m surprised people will sit down to fabricate such a report. Any report that mentioned any name is fake. We were never personal with our work. It is a fake report. The report that you are reading has a credibility problem.”
Accra based Joy FM claims it has intercepted the executive summary of the much sought after Kwesi Botchwey Committee’s report.
Portions of the report put the defeat of the party on its inability to link up with the grass root, a situation that created despondency at the local levels.
The report also criticises the campaign strategy of the party and fingered Dr Edward Omane Boamah, and Presidential Staffer, Stan Dogbe for the president’s defeat.
