Video: Bukom Banku Beaten At Last, Stopped In Round 7 By Bastie Samir

The much-anticipated boxing bout between Brimah Kamoko popularly known as Bukom Banku and Bastie Samir yesterday came off at Bukom Boxing Arena.

Dubbed ”Make or Break”, the non-title fight scheduled for 12 fight took the centre stage in the media as foul mouth Bukom Banku whose record before the fight stood at (29-0-0) had vowed to stop Bastie in the 6th round.

But when the time came for the moment of glory and action in the ring in front of the teeming boxing fans, it was Samir the underdog who emerged victorious with a spirited performance.

The early stages of the fight saw Banku put up some well-rehearsed punches winning the first and second rounds but Samir gradually warmed himself into the fight in the subsequent rounds and even put Banku on the canvas in the third round.

Round 4 was not different as Samir lunged punches which Bunkom had no answers to much to the amazement of the crowd who were seeing unbelievable spectacle before their eyes.

The punishement continued through round 5 and 6 until Referee Roger Banor eventually stopped the fight in the 7th round to prevent Banku Banku from further punishment and embarrassment.

With the win, Samir record that stands at (16-0-1, 15 KO’s).
