The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia has put the blame of party vigilantism on the doorstep of Nana Akufo-Addo
According to the crafty politician, an age-long held accolade by Nana Akufo-Addo as an advocate of human rights and free speech is a sham.
Commenting on the upsurge of political vigilantism under the watch of the Akufo-Addo led government, he said that has been the trademark of the President ever since he joined the political landscape.
Speaking on Okay FM, Mr Asiedu Nketiah said violence is in the DNA of Nana Akufo-Addo so he is not surprised by the happenings under his watch.
Listing several instances in the past, he said the wanton disregard for the rule of law and acts of impunity being perpetrated nationwide is a reminisce of the President’s past.
“When he started his politics, whenever something goes wrong in the country, he led his party members to create violence and he trained the youth of his party with radicalism
“….Akufo Addo is a warlord who run out of options during the 2012 election petition…the NPP led by Akufo Addo acted violently in the 2012 election before proceeding to court when they realised that Ghanaians would not condone hooliganism.”
