French football star, Kylian Mbappe has promised to help in the development of sports in Africa.
The 19-year-old said on Wednesday after a meeting with both French president, Emmanuel Macron and his Liberian counterpart, George Weah at the Palais de l’Elysee.
According to the PSG forward, he cannot shy away from his African roots and so he will in the near future invest on the continent.
He added that there are many opportunities on the African continent and he plans to invest in those areas.
“There are plenty of things to do in Africa. I will invest all of my energy to do the absolute maximum to help.
“Ongoing projects were talked about, which will happen in the near future, but I cannot say too much more right now. I am going to invest in this as much as possible, though.”
Even though full details of the meeting are still sketchy, the player told the media that it was a wonderful experience with lessons to be drawn from.
“I learned a lot during this lunch. There were a lot of lessons and it was a really rewarding experience.”
