Joshua is set to be ringside tonight for the heavyweight rematch between Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora at the O2 with the winner in line to face him.

There has been talk of the 29-year-old facing brash American Jarrell Miller in New York, but Joshua is only interested in fighting Deontay Wilder, despite being uncertain if that bout will happen next.

Wilder drew with Tyson Fury in their WBC heavyweight title match at the start of December and Joshua believes he has a 50/50 chance of facing the American at Wembley.

“The reason why I’ve booked Wembley is to face Wilder, so if it’s not Wilder then I don’t know who can kind of fill that void,” Joshua said after collecting his OBE.

“I hope to be back there but it’s a fan sport.

“If the fans want me to fight someone and they’re interested they will come out, if they’re not interested then I’m going to end up struggling to fill Wembley.”

The last undisputed heavyweight champion, Lennox Lewis, has accused Joshua of being ‘protected’ and not wanting to truly face either Fury or Wilder.

“Anthony Joshua can wait,” he told CompuBox. “He doesn’t want any of those guys!”

“When he saw that fight, he was like ‘Wow, these guys can box’.

“And now they’re going to do it again – he’s at one place in his career and in boxing.

“Obviously he can make the decisions that he can make and his decision is not to fight any of them at this moment.”
