According to a statement released by Samuel Atuobi Baah, the Comminications Manager, the move has been necessitated by a directive by EOCO to have all assets of its embattled CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah frozen.
A portion of the statement as sighted by Ghanaxtra.com reads: “Owing to the news release from the Economic and Organized Crime(EOCO), dated 29th January, and signed by Jacqeline Avotri(Public Affairs), to have all assets of Nana Appiah Mensah frozen, the general public is hereby informed that Zylophon FM and TV will suspend operations effection 30th January, 2019.”
The statement continued that: “Management is grateful to all, for the love and support shown us throughout 13(thirteen) months as a broadcast firm”
The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) today confirmed securing a court order to freeze all landed properties and vehicles belonging to the Chief Executive Officer of gold dealership firm, Menzgold Ghana Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah.
The landed properties include Menzgold Ghana Limited, Menzgold Office Complex, Zylofon Art Complex, Brew Marketing Consult, Star Mad. Football Club, Zylofon Music and Media Company Limited, Brew Energy Company Limited and G. Tech Automobile Service.
Two other properties located at Trassaco Valley; namely Plot No. 315 and Plot No. 337, a plot of land (No 54) near Oak Street, Trassaco Valley, an uncompleted residence and 510 acres of land are also to be confiscated.
