, NDC Cries Foul, Accuses GTV Of Ignoring Mahama At Independence AnniversaryLeadership of the biggest opposition party in the country, the National Democratic Congress(NDC) has accused GTV of ignoring their leadership during the 62nd Independence Anniversary in Tamale.

According to an an official tweet from the party, the state broadcaster completely failed to capture the official delegation from the NDC at the ceremony.

“We have taken notice of the fact that the state broadcaster GTV completely blacked out on the @OfficialNDCGh delegation led by former President John D. Mahama @JDMahama and including national chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo to the 62nd Independence Day parade in Tamale.”

The historic 62nd Independence Anniversary took place yesterday in Tamale, the capital of the Northern region.

This is the first time the event has been held outside the national capital, Accra and there are indications that government will continue with such an arrangement.
