Black Stars talisman, Asamoah Gyan will be breaking his silence on his retirement from International football.
The development comes less than 24 hours after Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo intervened in the saga.
The President’s intervention follows the brouhaha and public outcry that greeted Gyan’s announcement.
In a tweet sighted by Ghanaxtra.com, Gyan reveals that he will be commenting on his telephone conversation with the first gentleman of the land.
“Later today, my manager will be speaking on my behalf regarding my retirement from the national team. I will also release a statement based on the telephone discussion with the president.”
Already there are indications that the goal poacher will be rescinding his earlier decision to retire from the Black Stars.
Asamoah Gyan announced his retirement from international football earlier this week over a decision by the coach to stripe him off of the captaincy of the Black Stars.
Gyan has scored 51 goals in 106 appearances and he is the country’s all-time goal scorer in a career that spans over a decade for the country.
