Less than 24 hours after touching down in the country, embattled CEO of gold dealership firm, Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM 1 has some good news for customers of his company.
NAM 1 who was whisked away moments after his plane touched down at the Kotoka International Airport on Thursday, July 11, 2019, and is currently in Police custody has revealed his preparedness to pay the lock-up capital of customers of Menzgold.
According to a source at the top echelon of the police department, NAM 1 told personnel at the CID that he is committed to paying customers all their investments.
The source speaking on condition of strict anonymity told this portal that the CEO conceded that he well aware of the hardship customers of his defunct company are going through and he will be remedying the situation soon.
“Looking very hearty and hale the CEO told us that he will be putting smile on the faces of all customers of Menzgold soon”, the source concluded.
Nana Appiah Mensah spent the last six months in incarceration in Dubai as a result of a criminal case that was brought against him by a private company based in Dubai.
He was however acquitted and discharged by a court in Dubai but an INTERPOL red alert notice that was placed on him by the government of Ghana made it impossible for his release.
But after months of wait, he finally arrived in Ghana yesterday and he is being held at the Police Headquarters to assist in investigations.
He will be arraigned before a court this morning.
The CEO has been on the wanted list of the police service after some customers who invested in his gold dealership company, Menzgold filed a case of fraud against him.
