WASSCE 2019 Out; 48,855 Candidates Results Withheld For Examination Malpractice

Provisional results of WASSCE 2019 out, 48,855 withheld for malpractice.

WAEC 2019 ResultsThe West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has withheld the entire results of 48,855 candidates.

The results have been withheld pending the conclusion of investigations into various cases of examination malpractices detected during and after the conduct of the examination.

According to examination body, these misconducts include sending foreign materials such as prepared notes, printed materials and mobile phones to the examination hall.

The figure which is 14.12 percent of the total number of students who sat for the examination is almost 85 percent of the 2018 figure which stood at 26,434.

A statement released by WAEC revealed that it will soon dispatch the results to the various schools and candidates can contact the heads of their schools for their results.

The council, however, reveals there is an improvement in the performance of students at A1 to C6 in all the core subjects.
