The hopes of Honourable Joseph Amiyuure Atura to win the sole ticket to represent the Bolgatanga Municipality has suffered a major setback.

Joseph Amiyuure Atura who doubles as the Municipal Chief Executive for the Bolgatanga Municipality polled 151 votes to emerge last in the race.

The MCE who was in high spirits before the elections had the shock of his life when he came behind the two other contestants, Rex Asanga and Emmanuel Aphour who secured 344 and 154 votes respectively.

But the MCE who was visibly shocked and traumatised by the outcome of the intraparty contest found it difficult to come to terms with reality.

Sitting in a plastic chair, the former educationist had a hectic time leaving the election grounds as he was seen rooted to his seat.
