Government has come under intense fire over the introduction of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in public schools.

There are fears that the government is subtly trying to introduce children to gay and lesbianism.

Among those in the forefront against such moves by government is the Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference(GCBC).

But the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service(GES), Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwaa has downplayed any such fears by the public.

He reveals that contrary to the erroneous impression, CSE will help “nurture positive attitudes, open-mindedness, respect for self and others, non-judgmental attitudes and a sense of responsibility concerning sexual and reproductive health issues”.
