Energy Minister’s Late Sister’s Expensive Tomb Causes Stir On Social Media

On Saturday October 5, 2019, the mortal remains of Mrs Esther Dey popularly known as Nee Amewu-Duglu was laid to rest at Hohoe in the Volta region.

The late Mrs Esther Dey, a direct sister of Honourable John Peter Amewu, the Minister of Energy died on August 12, 2019, at the Tema General Hospital.

Bigwigs such as former president Jerry John Rawlings, business mogul Kennedy Agyapong and boxing legend Azumah Nelson were all in attendance to commiserate with the Amewu family.

One thing that has attracted the attention of many people is the burial place of the late sister of John Peter Amewu.

The tomb, edifice with the name Esther boldly engraved on the front view has raised an eyebrow on Facebook.

Many social media users who see it as a sign of opulence on the part of the Minister have expressed opinions on the matter.

There are however some individuals who think otherwise and have risen to the defence of the Energy Minister.
