One topic that has engaged the attention of both members in the academia and the general public in Ghana this week is the exposé by BBC Africa Eye dubbed “Sex For Grades”.

The hour-long documentary captures interactions with two Ghanaian lecturers – Prof. Gyampo and Dr Paul Kwame Butakor both at the University of Ghana.

The two lecturers, Prof. Gyampo and Dr Paul Kwame Butakor have since been interdicted by the University of Ghana are set to appear before the Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee for investigations.

A similar exercise was also carried out at the University of Lagos where Boniface Igbeneghu, who doubles as a pastor at the Foursquare church in Nigeria was also captured.

Even though, discussions bordering on the video have gained greater momentum in the media landscape, little is known about the face behind the exposé.

Her full name is Kiki Mordi

Age

28 years old of age, Miss Mordi was born on 12th August 1991 in Nigeria. She hails from Port Harcourt.

Occupation 

There have been discussions on whether Miss Mordi is a student at the University of Ghana or not. Checks show that she is not a student of University of Ghana. She is a filmmaker, storyteller, writer, BBC Africa radio presenter. She is also the Head of Presenting at WFM 91.7, Nigeria’s only female-centric Radio station.

Educational background

She gained admission into one of Nigeria’s top Universities but she dropped out of school because of sexual harassment.

Reason for the Exposé

Acccording to her, she carried out the investigation to expose bad lecturers who torment young and innocent ladies in tertiary institutions.
