It is a system or an operation in which the use of paper is reduced significantly or eliminated with the hope of saving costs, making information and knowledge exchange easier, saving space, providing better security of information, reducing manual keying and improving processing quality.
The use of paper has become very important in our daily lives but the advancement in technology has led to the advocacy for a paper-free system.
In view of this, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST) has made a giant step towards implementing a paperless system on campus.
Management of the University has directed the University community to adhere to a strict paperless campaign in the upcoming Council elections.
The move is to ensure good sanitation on campus.
A portion of a statement signed by the Deputy Registrar, Daniel Kumi Djan, reads: ” I am directed to inform all the contestants of the various council positions that their campaigns should be strictly paperless.”
