You Can’t Break Me Down, ACP Benjamin Agordzo Vows After Court Remands Him

A serving police officer and former Director of the Transformation Office of the Ghana Police Service, Dr Benjamin Agordzo has been remanded into BNI custody.

Dr Agordzo was arraigned before court today over his alleged involvement in a plot to destabilise the country.

He is alleged to have offered some assistance to the leader of the alleged coup plotters, Dr Frederick Yao Mac-Palm, and some eight other suspects, including military officers, who had also been charged with treason.

ACP Dr Benjamin Agordzo after court proceedings on Wednesday morning told journalists that he is innocent and will fight to the end.

“I have not committed any crime. I’ve done nothing wrong. The President called upon us to be citizens. So when I express my opinion on a WhatsApp platform, unrelated to any alleged coup, nobody should bog me down.

“And I will stand for this. I will stand for this to the end. They cannot break me down at all. And I’m as strong as anything. Thank you very much for your support.”
