4 people burnt in Kintampo


Residents of Bonche a farming community in the Kintampo Municipality of the Bono East Region, are in a state of mourning following the tragic death of four siblings, GhanaXtra.com can report.

The deceased children; Freda Stephen- seven years old, Nyanne Nabada – four years old, Nabada Uwumboryakii – three years old and Faith Stephen – nine months, all siblings tragically got burnt in a fire.

Police account indicates that Freda Stephen started the fire around their house to drive away some swam of bees but the fire got out of hand because of the dry harmattan winds.

The raging fire gutted their house burning all the deceased in the process.

According to Chief Inspector Augustine Kingsley Oppong, the Bono Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), the police only found charred bodies of the deceased when they got to the scene.

“The police rushed to the scene and found all the children and the structure completely burnt so the bodies were removed and deposited at Kintampo Municipal Hospital mortuary pending autopsy”.
