The Bono and Ahafo GBA Boss is eyeing Ameyaw-Cheremeh’s Sunyani East Seat
Renowned Sunyani-based private legal practitioner, lawyer Alfred Tuah-Yeboah has declared his intention to contest the Sunyani East seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Lawyer Alfred Tuah-Yeboah, the Bono Ahafo Regional Chairman of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) has revealed that the decision is in response to calls from the grassroots.
He told Kwabena Obeng Akrofi in an interview monitored on Sunyani based Ark FM by GhanaXtra.com that the time has finally come to respond to the distress calls from the people of Sunyani East.
Sounding very optimistic, the renowned lawyer revealed that he is hopeful of unseating the incumbent in the party’s primaries slated for April 25, 2020.
“I have served the New Patriotic Party well and it’s time to represent the people of Sunyani East in Parliament.’’
Having served the New Patriotic Party(NPP) in the Bono region in different roles including Assistant Secretary, Lawyer Tuah-Yeboah is regarded as one of the strong pillars of the ruling party in the region.
A native of New Drobo in the Jaman South Municipality, Tuah-Yeboah is a strong voice on radio in the Bono, Ahafo and Bono East regions when it comes to legal and constitutional matters.
He holds MSc Defence and International politics from the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College.
The Sunyani East seat is currently being held by Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, the Majority Chief Whip who is yet to declare his intention.
