The Atebubu and Educational Workers Welfare Club has made a cash donation to a 57-year-old blind teacher in the Atebubu-Amantin Municipality.

The undisclosed amount according to the association is to help the teacher, Mr Domachaare Yokyele Yaw who has totally lost his sight to cater for his medical expenses.

Mr Domachaare, a teacher at Tuse M/A Primary spends over GHC500 a week on medical bills so the gesture is to cushion him.

His condition coupled with the financial difficulties have made life unbearable for him.

Making the donation on behalf of the association, the chairman Mr Amouctho Federick, revealed that the association deemed it fit to support their colleague in these trying moments.

Mr Domachaare on his part thanked the association for the support and promised to use the money for the intended purpose.

“I am grateful that you have come to my aid in these difficult times of my life. I have never felt proud to be a member of this fraternity than today. I thank Atebubu Educational Workers Welfare Club for this gesture and promise that this experience will live with me for the rest of my life.”
