Hundreds of sympathisers on Tuesday, February 4, accompanied the Bono East Regional Minister, Kofi Amoakohene to pick his nominations forms in Atebubu.
Honourable Kofi Amoakohene who doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Atebubu-Amantin Constituency was accompanied by a widows group, some polling station executives, market women and party faithfuls.
Interestingly, when the Minister got to the party’s office, he was informed that a youth group known as the Youth of New Konkrompe had already purchased the nomination form on his behalf.
The Minister who was not only elated but surprised by the gesture by the youth group thanked them for the support and confidence reposed in him.
He reiterated his commitment towards serving the people of Atebubu-Amantin constituency and called for their continuous support.
It remains unclear if will be contesting unopposed or not.
Honourable Kofi Amoakohene snatched the Atebubu-Amantin seat from the NDC after 24 years of political dominance.
He secured 19,189 votes to beat the incumbent, Sanja Nanja who polled 18,061 votes.
