Former MCE of Ejisu Municipal, Honourable Afrifa Yamoah Ponko has taken a swipe at Ghana’s Education Minister, Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

According to the firebrand politician, it is unfortunate that the NPP government and its apparatchiks do not show teachers enough respect.

Speaking on Trust FM, he wondered why people like NAPO who were poor students back in school had the temerity to disrespect teachers.

I wonder why the NPP must treat teachers like this. Today this, tomorrow that. The annoying of it was to see NAPO who was a poor student while we were in school to also insult teachers”.

The statement by Afrifa Yamoah Ponko comes at the backdrop of a comment by the Minister questioning the quality of students admitted at the Colleges of Education.
