An Accra High Court today February 24, 2020, ordered journalist Kevin Ekow Baidoo Taylor to pay an amount of GH¢2.95 million for defamation.

The defamation judgement is in relation to defamatory statements made against legal practitioner, Ace Kojo Anan Ankomah.

The Court in its judgement ruled that Mr Taylor and Loud Silence Media are to pay General Damages of ¢2,000,000; Aggravated Damages of ¢500,000 and Exemplary Damages of ¢400,000.

It also placed a perpetual injunction on the defendants restraining the publication of further material on the plaintiff.

The court also ordered the defendants to within 14 days publish an apology and placed a mandatory injunction compelling the defendants to remove every offending material within 14 days and pay ¢50,000 to the court.

But anybody who thought the ruling by the Court today will gag Kevin Taylor or force him into oblivion should be revising his notes.

The US-based journalist moments after the court ruling took to his Facebook page to throw more savage punches.

In a series of messages, the journalist at his usual best dropped more write-ups with some directly aimed at Ace Ankomah.
