The leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), has levelled corruption allegations against former president John Dramani Mahama.
According to Mr Akpaloo, the NDC flagbearer is only interested in the ‘percentages’ he gets from contracts and therefore must not be voted back to power.
The LPG flagbearer told Kwaku Annan on Net 2 TV’s political talkshow, The Seat’ that, John Mahama and the NDC party are the main architects of the poor economic conditions being fixed by the current government.
“NDC always draw Ghana back. When they are in government, all they do is spend and dissipate resources that the NPP work hard to accumulate,” Akpaloo said in his native Twi language.
He alleged that Mr Mahama is one corrupt leader who was not so interested in the impact of the projects he constructed during his tenure, but rather, the kickbacks he took.
Mr Akpaloo further cautioned that Ghanaians really suffered under Mahama’s presidency and must therefore not make any mistake of bringing him back ever again.
“We will suffer again if they (NDC) come to power….Ghanaians should not forget the suffering we went through under Mahama.”
