Leo Messi put up a splendid performance as he scored on four occasions in Barcelona’s 5-0 win against Eibar on Saturday.

Messi’s goals, including a first-half hat-trick ended his longest ever goal drought in six years having gone just four games without a goal.

The world’s best footballer has now scored 18 goals in La Liga, making him the top goalscorer in the 2019/20 championship, 5 goals more than Karim Benzema, who is placed second.

The win also means that Barça have now set a new record as the highest scoring team in the Spanish top flight with 6,150 all-time goals.
