Student Dies In Dormitory After He Was Denied Exeat To Go Home

Dwamena Akenten student dies

A second-year student of the Dwamena Akenten Senior High School in the Ashanti Region has reportedly died in the dormitory.

The student passed away after he was allegedly denied exeat by school authorities to seek medical attention outside.

The death of the student has been blamed on the Senior Housemaster, Mr Andrew Agyeman who refused to sign the exeat for him to go home.

Reports available to this portal indicates that the deceased fell sick on Sunday, February 9, 2020, and requested to seek medical attention at a medical facility outside.

The report reveals that even though the condition kept deteriorating, the senior housemaster stubbornly refused to allow the boy to go home.

He was later rushed to the St. Patrick’s hospital after he was found on the floor in the dormitory after school hours by some of his colleagues.
