The Dormaa West District Chief Executive (DCE), Ms Mary Ameyaa, is in trouble over the speech she delivered at the Independence day celebrations held at Nkrankwanta.

An audio recording circulating online captures the DCE struggling to pronounce almost every word in the speech before her.

She looked unprepared and virtually slaughtered the English language in front of the dignitaries and basic school pupils who struggled to understand the message she wanted to deliver.

Madam Ameyaa would pause intermittently and attempt to correct herself but that could not save her from total embarrassment as she kept repeating the errors.

It is not known why she opted for the queen’s language knowing her deficiencies, but her audience looked on in frustration and wondered why she didn’t read her speech in the local language.

Below is the audio recording…Take a listen!
