Today, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) announced the confirmation of four new cases of the coronavirus COVID-19.
The announcement at a presser addressed by the Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service, Dr Badu Sarkodie, brings to six the number of positive cases in the country.
One of the patients was revealed to be a student of the University of Ghana, a situation that has alarmed the university community.
According to Dr Badu Sarkodie, they have identified 12 individuals who might have had contact with the student in question.
Although the Ministry failed to provide further details on the student and her activities on campus, this portal has been able to establish some details.
The said student(name withheld) has been identified to be a female Level 300 student of the School of Pharmacy.
She travelled from Dallas in the United States of America to Ghana on Monday, March 9th, 2020.
She has reportedly been on campus since Tuesday, March 10, 2020.
