Identity Of Norwegian Diplomat Who Brought Coronavirus To Ghana Revealed

The identity of one of the two patients who have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus COVID-19 in Ghana has been revealed.

The individual whose identity has not been disclosed by Ghanaian officials for diplomatic reasons has been identified to be a Norwegian diplomat, GhanaXtra.Com can confirm.

Per a report sighted on MyNewsGh.com, he is a senior official of the Norwegian Embassy in Ghana.

The report further reveals that the top Norwegian official is Gunnar Andreas Holm, the Norwegian Ambassador to Ghana.

It has emerged that the Ambassador arrived in the country from Norway somewhere last week but reported ill days later.

The Ambassador was in Norway to help in the planning of President Akufo-Addo’s visit to Norway two weeks ago.

The Ministry of Health yesterday confirmed that Ghana has recorded its first  two cases of Coronavirus COVID-19

The statement revealed that the two cases were confirmed following laboratory results from the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research.
