COVID-19: Ghana’s case tally reaches 1,671

Ghana has recorded one hundred and twenty-one new cases of coronavirus, pushing the national tally to 1,671.

This was disclosed by the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma Aboagye, at a press briefing Tuesday afternoon.

Five people succumbed to the virus within the past two days, bringing the death toll to 16, the GHS said.

The number of recoveries now stand at 188 following the release of some thirty-three (33) more people since the last update on Sunday April, 26.

Dr. Kuma Aboagye also confirmed that 1,461 patients are responding to treatment while 6 are moderately or critically ill.

Four regions, the Bono, Bono East, Ahafo and Savannah are yet to record cases, while the Greater Accra leads with 1,433 as at Tuesday April 28, 2020.
