Nana Ama McBrown has reacted to claims of disrespecting former president John Mahama in a recent video circulating on social media.

The well respected actress and media personality says, she is “not the one” in the said video and is “calling on her fans to disregard it.”

Nana Ama has been widely linked to a viral video circulating on social media which captures a lady knocking the head of the image of Former President John Mahama on the screen of her television during his digital conversation with Ghanaians last Thursday.

Following the release of the video, many sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have called for a total boycott of everything associated with TV personality including her movies and programmes.

But Nana Ama McBrown has distanced herself from the footage saying her association with the viral video is erroneous and quite strange since there is no way she would behave like that.

“I hereby distance myself from that video and unequivocally state that I am not the woman in the video, and there is no way will I ever behave in such a reprehensible manner towards the Former President of Ghana whom I hold in high respect, or indeed any other person,” she wrote on Instagram.
