Radio and Television presenter, Caroline Sampson has been laid-off by YFM after almost a decade at the station.

The former Miss Malaika finalist who began her media career in 2005, announced on Friday May 8, that her contract with the station has been terminated with immediate effect.

She joined the Global Media Alliance outfit in 2009 after leaving Citi FM where she spent two years hosting three daily shows.

Caroline is the latest casualty in a series of dismissals by radio stations in Accra who are unable to handle their wage bill due to revenue losses brought about by the unending coronavirus crisis.

Last week, Multimedia terminated the contracts of Naa Ashorkor and many others due the same COVID-19 hardships.

A similar situation at the EIB Network led to the exit of KOD and Jon Germain after they reportedly sacked themselves following a botched demo against proposed pay cuts for employees of the media conglomerate.
