COVID-19 Cases: 173 New Cases Push National Tally To 6,269

One hundred and seventy-three new cases of coronavirus have been recorded pushing the national tally to 6,269.

An update by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) as at May 21 reveals the total number of recoveries to be 1,898.

Ghana’s COVID-19-related death toll is however still pegged at 31.

Ahafo, Bono East and Savannah still have no confirmed cases while Accra maintains its status as the national coronavirus hotspot.

The regional breakdown of cases is as follows;

  1. Greater Accra Region – 4,582
  2. Ashanti Region – 921
  3. Central Region – 285
  4. Western Region – 170
  5. Eastern Region – 106
  6. Western North Region – 57
  7. Volta Region – 41
  8. Northern Region – 31
  9. Oti Region – 26
  10. Upper East Region – 26
  11. Upper West Region – 21
  12. North East Region – 2
  13. Bono Region – 1
  14. Savannah Region – 0
  15. Ahafo Region – 0
  16. Bono East Region – 0
