Member of parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has disclosed that the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) would also invite Bishop Daniel Obinim when he is released from police custody.
Daniel Obinim was arrested and charged on Tuesday, for “publication of false news and forgery of document contrary to sections 208 and 159 of the Criminal and other offences Act, 1960 (ACT 29) respectively.”
The leader of the International Godsway Church was arraigned before an Accra Magistrate Court and granted a 100,000 cedis bail with three sureties, one to be justified.
GhanaXtra.com reported yesterday that Obinim was struggling to meet the bail conditions and had been detained while his family accused the police of making it difficult to satisfy the conditions.
Reacting to Obinim’s detention, Kennedy Agyapong who ordered his arrest said, the woes of the self-branded Angel are not over as the issue has been “forwarded to the EOCO” who will pick him up after he is released from detention.
Meanwhile, the NPP legislator has vowed to continue his mission of exposing fake pastors in Ghana.
