The Ghana Health Service today reported that the Bono East Region has recorded its first case of the deadly coronavirus.
The Head of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service, Dr Badu Sarkodie, who made it known at a presser failed to provide further details.
“The [details] will be brought up based on information that we further pick from the region and then the affected district.”
But GhanaXtra.com can report authoritatively that the first case in the Bono East Region involves a 31-year-old(male) commercial driver at Yeji in the Pru East District.
The case was recorded out of a total 1,239 samples taken as a result of Enhance Surveillance conducted in the region.
GhanaXtra.Com sources indicate that eight have so far been identified through contact tracing.
