Ghana COVID-19 Update: 122 new cases, 160 more recoveries

Ghana’s coronavirus case count continues to rise as one hundred and twenty-two more cases have been reported within the past day.

The national tally now stands at 5,530 with 674 recoveries, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) announced at Thursday’s press briefing in Accra.

Director of Public Health at the GHS, Dr. Badu Sarkodie disclosed that there are 62 newly confirmed cases in the Ashanti region, 57 in Greater Accra, 2 more in Central region and one in Western North.

The death toll still stands at 24, while the Greater Accra region remains the nation’s epicenter for the virus.
