Ghana’s coronavirus case count reaches 4,700

The coronavirus cases in Ghana continue to rise as the national patient tally has reached 4,700.

The new figures, an addition of 437 more cases was announced by President Akufo-Addo in a televised address Sunday evening.

Ghana’s death toll from the pandemic remains at 22 as at May 10, 2020.

There were wide speculations that the president was likely going to ease restrictions imposed on social and public gatherings.

But President Akufo-Addo said the ban and closure of borders and schools remain extended until May 31st.

According to him, he would subsequently announced measures that would gradually take the nation back to normal life.
