GhanaXtra.Com can report that the opposition the National Democratic Congress(NDC) has boycotted the Wednesday edition of Peace FM’s Kokrokoo.
The boycott of one of the most listened political shows in Ghana takes effect from Wednesday, May 6 2020.
The NDC’s decision to boycott the programme was announced by host of the programme, Kwame Sefa Kayi.
Sources available to this portal indicates that the boycott is in protest of the continuous presence of former Central Regional Chairman of the party, Bernard Allotey Jacobs on the Wednesday edition of the show.
The NDC has tabled an unconditional demand for an additional slot on Wednesdays or producers sack Allotey Jacobs from the show.
Meanwhile, GhanaXtra.Com is reliably informed that management of Peace FM is seeking to amicably resolve the matter.
The NDC has fallen out with its former Central Regional Chairman, Bernard Allotey Jacobs over his public utterances.
The party had previously succeeded in removing Allotey Jacobs from shows such as Adom TV ‘Badwam’ but have not succeeded in removing him from Kokrokoo.
