Obinim feigns sickness as police invade church to arrest him; admitted to hospital under police guard

Obinim miraculously fell ill but was detained at a hospital under police guard

Bishop Daniel Obinim miraculously feigned sickness after police stormed his church premises to arrest him.

Personnel from the Ghana Police Service had gone there with a warrant to pick him up upon a tip-off that he was holding counselling sessions in contravention of the ban on religious activities and social gatherings.

The self-proclaimed Angel of God reportedly asked to be allowed some time to prepare and follow the police, which they obliged.

However, after entering his room and staying there for a while, the flamboyant Bishop returned to inform the police he was sick and therefore couldn’t follow them to the police station.

According to Peace FM, the police did not entertain his tricks as they escorted him to a nearby hospital in East Legon, where he would be treated under police guard and later whisked away to face the full rigours of the law after doctors declare him recovered.

Last month, Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong predicted that the man of God would soon be arrested, after he exposed some of Obinim’s underhand dealings.

We are unable to ascertain at the moment whether his current arrest is associated with the allegations made against him by the legislator.
