It has emerged that former National Democratic Congress legislator and former National Coordinator for the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Abuga Pele is now a teacher and football coach at the Nsawam Medium Prison.
This was revealed by the National Chairman of the NDC, Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo after some party bigwigs paid the former NDC MP for Chiana-Paga a visit.
According to Mr Ampofo, it was gratifying to see their colleague doing well and putting his talent to good use even though he is behind bars.
“When we went he was on the field coaching a team. Two teams were playing, and we were told that he is a coach of one of the teams.
“He has now become a very useful asset here for the authorities teaching, coaching and doing all sort of other things.”
Mr Ofosu Ampofo as part of the visit donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and sanitary items on behalf of the NDC to the prison.
He was accompanied by Peter Otukonor, Alex Segbefia, Abraham Amaliba and other members of the party.
Mr Pele is serving a six-year jail term for causing financial loss to the state.
