Obour demands cash from delegates

A failed parliamentary aspirant in the Asante Akyem South Constituency, Bice Osei Kuffuor popularly known as Obour is demanding monies he paid to delegates.

Obour who prior to the primaries was tipped to unseat the incumbent allegedly paid an amount of GHC 2,000 to the delegates.

He allegedly also promised each delegate a flat-screen television set as a top-up.

But despite all these promises, Obour polled 296 votes to lose to Lawyer Kwaku Asante Boateng who garnered 364 votes, a result the former MUSAIGA President was not expecting.

Feeling shortchanged by the delegates, Obour is alleged to have angrily deployed his machomen to go after the delegates and collect his monies paid to them.

All efforts to reach Obour on the issue at the time of filing this report were unsuccessful.
