The Free Senior High School policy was introduced in 2017 by the Akufo-led government as part of a campaign promise.
Under the policy, every child in Ghana who qualifies for, and is placed in a public Senior High School for his secondary education will have his/her fees absorbed by the government.
So far, 1.2 million children have been enrolled in our High Schools across the country under the policy, making it the largest number of students so enrolled in our history.
The story of David Sarbah, a visually impaired student of Adidome Senior High School like many other beneficiaries will forever be part of the success story of the policy.
David Sarba, who could not further his education due to financial constraints after Junior High School is now in Senior High school pursuing his dreams.
David says his wish is to read Political Science and Law at the university.
