The Paramount Chief of the Badu Traditional Council, Nana Yiadom Boakye II, has criticised the position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on the compilation of a new voters register.

Nana Yiadom Boakye II has described the position taken by the NDC as an act of hypocrisy which is full inconsistencies.

According to Nana, the position of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) challenging the constitutional mandate of the Electoral Commission is strange as it seeks to only champion the “parochial interest” of the party and not a proper appreciation of the 1992 Constitution as a whole.

He charged the EC to be guided by its professional principles in the discharge of its constitutional mandate.

Nana Yiadom Boakye II, made the call when he was addressing the regional party executives of the New Patriotic Party in the Bono Region at his palace at Badu in the Tain District on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.
