Nana Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has directed the Minister of Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh to take steps towards the recall of 14 dismissed final year students.

The President has directed the Minister of Education to engage the Ghana Education Service on the fate of the students for them to finish their papers.

According to a statement signed by the Director of Communications, Office of the President, Eugene Arhin, the President believes every individual deserves a second chance.

The statement directs that the dismissal of the students is enough deterrent and the students should be allowed to write the final examination.

“The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akuf-Addo, has directed the Minister for Education, Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, to engage the Ghana Education Service to reconsider its decision to ban some fourteen students(14) dismissed final year senior high school students from taking the ongoing West African Certificate Examination(WASSCE)”.
