Yesterday, Ghanaian musician, Mzbel, was arrested by the Greater Accra Regional Police Command for publishing fake news.
Her arrest by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service follows a complaint filed by television personality, Stacy Amoateng.
According to Stacy, Mzbel weeks ago had alleged that she has been informed by Prophet Nigel Gaisie that she is HIV positive.
The Police Public Relations Officer of CID, DSP Juliana Obeng, confirmed that the controversial musician was officially arrested and charged for publishing fake news when she reported at the CID Headquarters.
But right after she was granted bail, Mzbel was seen being driven while she recorded a video of herself with a simple message.
“Fellow Ghanaians”, and for the next two minutes stared into the camera then said again: “That is all, bye”.
She followed the video with a picture of her in her nightdress ready for bed with the caption: “If u prayed for my downfall, u should get a refund back lol, Well feel free to use me to trend some wai lol good night Mzbelievers.”
