Exclusive: Police CID Invites Dr. Kwame Fordjour For Scam

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service is set to invite Dr. Kwame Fordjour, the brain behind the fake UN wards for questioning this week, GhanaXtra.Com has learnt.

A close source at the top police hierarchy tells this portal that the police service has taken a keen interest in the case and will be pursuing it.

The invitation he reveals is to unravel and ascertain if Dr. Kwame Fordjour was complicit in any way and if possible press charges against him.

He is also going to be probed for defrauding some celebrities under the guise of providing them an internationally recognised award.

Dr. Kwame Fordjour hit the news last week after it emerged that a supposed UN awards scheme he organised was fake.

Celebrities such as award-winning rapper, Sarkodie, Captain Smart, Berla Mundi, Frederick Acheampong, and Johnny Hughes all fell for the fake awards.

Meanwhile, this portal is reliably informed that some of the affected personalities will be seeking redress in court for bringing their name into disrepute.
