The running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has underscored the need for peaceful co-existence going into the 2020 polls.
Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has revealed that that is the only way for the country to achieve immense success in terms of development.
Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang made the comment when she paid a courtesy call on the paramount Chief of Bekwai, Oyeadieyie Kwadwo Armah Basape III as part of day 2 activities of her 4-day campaign tour of the Western North region.
“Healthy competition is essential to democracy but that must not lead to bloodshed”.
She highlighted that as a farming community, insults and conflicts will not increase their yields hence they must focus and associate with a party that has plans that will enhance their livelihoods and the country’s economy at large.
She indicated her flagbearer’s vision of ‘Big Push’ has a strong foundation that will create jobs for the youth hence all must be part of the process towards its realisation.
“We are a congress hence we include all, no discrimination or what so ever. The choice of a female running mate is enough attestation to this fact”.
