The opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) has proposed to expand the free Senior High School programme to cover private schools.
According to the party, the programme under the tenure of a future NDC government will cover in students private Senior High Schools in underserved/deprived areas.
It has also served notice to “absorb fifty per cent (50%) of fees of tertiary students for the 2020/2021 academic year as an incentive to mitigate the eﬀects of COVID-19 on students and parents”
The promises are contained in the “People’s Manifesto” which has been launched by the party.
The National Democratic Party (NDC) on Monday, September 7, launched its 2020 manifesto ahead of the elections in December.
The event came off at the University of Professional Studies in Accra.
Dubbed, the ‘People’s Manifesto: Jobs, Prosperity and more’, the document is expected to address all the needs of the people if the party is given the nod by the electorate.
