The New Patriotic Party(NPP) has given the condition under which the Member of Parliament-elect for the Fomena Constituency, Andrews Amoako Asiamah will be accepted back into the party.
According to the General Secretary of the party, John Boadu, the MP-elect for Fomena can reapply for membership of the party if he wants to.
He disclosed that the National Executive Committee is the only body that can decide on the fate of the Member of Parliament.
He averred that although Andrew Asiamah Amoakoh has indicated his willingness to rejoin the New Patriotic Party (NPP), that willingness has to go through a process.
“If he says he wants to join the party he should apply so that we take him through the process”.
The former Member of Parliament (MP) for Fomena Lawyer Andrews Asiamah Amoako was suspended by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after he decided to contest this year’s election as an Independent candidate.
He was subsequently removed from his seat in Parliament but that did not deter him as he still went ahead and won the elections by polling 12,805 to beat the NPP’s candidate.
