Sanja Nanja Beats Bono East Reg. Minister To Reclaim Atebubu-Amantin Seat

The former Member of Parliament for the Atebubu-Amantin Constituency, Sanja Nanja has won the parliamentary elections to represent the people of the area in the next parliament.

Sanja Nanja who lost the 2016 elections to the then-candidate of the NPP’s, Kofi Amoahene has managed to stagged a comeback four years later.

He garnered 32,806 of valid votes cast to beat the incumbent who doubles as the Bono East Regional Minister, Kofi Amoakohene who polled 22,815 votes.

Henna Kwaku Abraham of the PPP polled 308 votes with 862 votes being rejected votes.

In all, 55,929 registered voters cast their votes in 177 polling stations on Monday, December 7, 2020, in an election that was relatively peaceful.
