President-Elect of the United States of America, Joseph R. Biden, Jr., has officially written to the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The letter is a reply to President Akufo-Addo’s message to Joseph R. Biden after he was declared the winner of the November 2020 elections.
“Thank you for your kind words and well-wishes. I am sorry that we have not yet had the opportunity to connect by phone. It is my great honour to have been elected the next President of the United States, I understand how much work is ahead of us.
“Vice President-elect Haris and I will take office at a time of great global challenges from the coronavirus to climate change that transcend borders and require international cooperation.
“We look forward to working with you and your government on addressing the common problems facing our countries and our peoples. Thank you again, President Akufo-Addo. I look to forward to future dialogue”.
